Pedestrian Killed In Los Angeles Hit-And-Run Car Accident On Normandie Avenue By 51st Street
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA (August 28, 2019) – A pedestrian was killed in a car accident on Normandie Avenue in the Vermont Square neighborhood.
Los Angeles police are saying that the accident took place 1:30 a.m. near West 51st Street. The suspect that hit the victim fled the scene.
Paramedics found the victim between two cars where he later died. An investigation remains ongoing at this time.

According to California Vehicle Code 20001, “The driver of a vehicle involved in an accident resulting in injury to a person, other than himself or herself, or in the death of a person shall immediately stop the vehicle at the scene of the accident and shall fulfill the requirements of Sections 20003 and 20004.” The family of any victim that died in a pedestrian accident may be able to seek justice through California Code of Civil Procedure 377.60.
