LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA (May 21, 2019) – A 23-year-old mother from Compton identified as Bethany Holguin  has tragically died in a car accident after her vehicle was broadsided by a street racer near the intersection of 131st Street and Towne Avenue.

Los Angeles police are saying that the accident took place on Saturday around 11:24 p.m. Bethany Holguin was in a Toyota Camry that was struck by a speeding Infiniti.

The driver of the Infiniti ran a stop sign before hitting the victim’s car. The victim’s brother Emilio was transported to the UCLA Medical Center with major injuries. 

Despite life-saving measures Bethany Holguin died due to her injuries.
