Pedestrian Killed In Long Beach Hit-And-Run Accident On Pacific Avenue
LONG BEACH, CALIFORNIA (June 27, 2019) – A 35-year-old woman was killed and a man was critically injured in a car accident Tuesday night along Pacific Avenue.
Long Beach authorities are saying that the two pedestrians were hit around 11:55 p.m. by Burnett Street. Both victims were in a marked crosswalk when they were hit.
By the time that police arrived at the scene the driver that hit them fled. Firefighters and paramedics rushed to the scene in order to help the victims.
Despite life-saving efforts the 35-year-old woman died of her injuries. The male pedestrian sustained critical injuries and had to be taken to the hospital.
Police are asking anyone that may have witnessed the accident to reach out to them.
