Pedestrian Injured In Logan Heights Hit-And-Run Car Accident By South Bancroft Street And Ocean View Boulevard
SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA (October 11, 2019) – A pedestrian was seriously injured in a hit-and-run car accident by South Bancroft Street and Ocean View Boulevard.
California Highway Patrol are saying that the accident took place around 5:45 a.m. The driver that hit the pedestrian fled the scene and is currently being pursued by police.
Paramedics took the pedestrian to the hospital so that they could receive treatment. An investigation into the accident remains ongoing at this time.

It is a felony to flee the scene of an accident that results in bodily injury. According to California Vehicle Code 20001, “The driver of a vehicle involved in an accident resulting in injury to a person, other than himself or herself, or in the death of a person shall immediately stop the vehicle at the scene of the accident and shall fulfill the requirements of Sections 20003 and 20004.” Any person that is injured in a car accident may have legal recourse through a bodily injury claim.
