Bicyclist Injured In La Mesa Car Accident By University Avenue and Harbinson Avenue
LA MESA, CALIFORNIA (October 30, 2019) – A bicyclist was seriously injured in a car accident not far from the intersection of University Avenue and Harbinson Avenue.
California Highway Patrol are saying that the accident took place when a 74-year-old driver made a right turn in a GMC pickup. The bicyclist was struck by the truck and knocked off his bicycle.
The driver kept going and was later stopped by police. He told officers that he thought he hit the curb. Paramedics were called to the scene in order to take the victim to the hospital.
An investigation into the car accident remains ongoing at this point.
