Liability In Head-On Accidents
Head-on collisions make up only around 1% of all traffic accidents. But they account for over 12% of all traffic fatalities. Many accidents happen when drivers cross double yellow lines. It is illegal to cross over a double yellow line in most situations. According to California Vehicle Code 21460, “If double parallel solid yellow lines are in place, a person driving a vehicle shall not drive to the left of the lines, except as permitted in this section.”
Any person that is injured in a car accident due to the negligence of another driver may have legal recourse. Damages may include money for medical bills, lost wages and pain and suffering. Many victims of car accidents may not even realize the full extent of their injuries until several weeks or months following a collision. It’s important to see a doctor after an accident and then contact an experienced car accident attorney.
