Liability In Uber Accidents
Uber is part of the larger “sharing economy.” In the matter of just a few years it has become an essential means of transportation for millions of people. But this hasn’t come without its own costs. Thousands of people are seriously injured in Uber accidents every year. Depending on the facts of any case a victim may be able to file a claim for damages if they were injured.
Coverage limits vary by state. Generally speaking, if an Uber driver causes an accident on their way to pick up a rider or during a trip, there is $1,000,000 worth of liability coverage. If an accident happened while an Uber driver was waiting for a request, there is $100,000 worth of coverage per accident for bodily injury. An Uber accident attorney can investigate your claim and let you know how much you may be entitled to.
