Pedestrian Killed In Inglewood Car Accident On 405 Freeway By Century Boulevard
INGLEWOOD, CALIFORNIA (September 14, 2019) – A pedestrian has tragically died in a car accident on the 405 Freeway not far from the Century Boulevard off-ramp.
California Highway Patrol are saying that the accident took place around 11:30 p.m. For reasons that remain under investigation, the victim was hit by a car traveling southbound.
Paramedics were called to the scene in order to help the victim. Despite life-saving efforts the pedestrian later died due to his injuries.

Drivers are supposed to yield the right of way to pedestrians even when they are outside of lawfully marked crosswalks. According to California Vehicle Code 21950, “The driver of a vehicle approaching a pedestrian within any marked or unmarked crosswalk shall exercise all due care and shall reduce the speed of the vehicle or take any other action relating to the operation of the vehicle as necessary to safeguard the safety of the pedestrian.” The family of any victim that died in a pedestrian accident may have legal recourse through a wrongful death claim.
