According to the San Diego Union Tribune, a young woman was struck and killed by a vehicle in a pedestrian accident in San Marcos on Saturday, May 12, 2018.
The pedestrian accident occurred around 11 a.m. on Saturday, when the young woman, identified as high school student Lauren Wolford, was struck by a black BMW sedan. Wolford was a senior at Mission Hills High School and was expected to graduate next month.
According to authorities, a male high school student lost control of his BMW, which jumped the curb and slammed into a wall after striking the young woman. The pedestrian accident victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the BMW was not seriously injured in the pedestrian accident.
