Liability In Box Truck Accidents
Box trucks tend to have very large blind spots. A number of crashes happen when box truck drivers make unsafe lane changes because they couldn’t see another driver. According to California Vehicle Code 22107, “No person shall turn a vehicle from a direct course or move right or left upon a roadway until such movement can be made with reasonable safety and then only after the giving of an appropriate signal in the manner provided in this chapter in the event any other vehicle may be affected by the movement.” Most commercial trucks are required to carry at least $750,000 – $1,000,000 worth of liability coverage. Victims may be able to recover damages through a bodily injury claim.
