According to CNN, George Clooney was involved in a scooter accident on the Italian island of Sardinia on Tuesday, July 10, 2018.
The scooter accident occurred around 8:15 a.m., when the 57-year-old film star was struck by a Mercedes.
According to authorities, Clooney was traveling at about 65 mph, when the driver of the Mercedes allegedly failed to stop at a turn and cut in front of Clooney, who smashed into the windshield of the Mercedes and landed about 30 feet from the vehicle.
Clooney sustained minor injuries and was transported to the Giovanni Paolo II hospital, where he was treated and released shortly after. He is said to be in stable condition.
According to the film star’s rep, he was in Sardinia because he was filming his latest TV series, Catch-22.
