Liability In Dune Buggy Accidents
Dune buggies are recreational motor vehicles that are primarily used on sand. A number of people choose to race them. These devices tend to be much less crash worthy than other vehicles. They also tend to lack a lot of the safety features that other cars have like airbags. Like all cars dune buggies should be periodically inspected and properly maintained. A number of collisions occur due to:
- Brake failures
- Engine failures
- Mechanical malfunctions
- Tire failures
Depending on the facts of any case, there may be multiple sources of liability for an accident. For example, a dune buggy manufacturer could be held liable if the accident was caused due to a mechanical failure. Companies are generally liable for design defects with their products. A wrongful death attorney can examine all of the facts of your case and let you know what you options are.
