According to the LA Times, a 42-year-old man was struck and killed by a truck in a pedestrian accident in Costa Mesa on Monday, January 1, 2017. The fatal pedestrian accident involving a truck happened around 11:40 p.m. at the intersection of 17th Street and southbound Newport Boulevard.
According to witnesses, the man was seen crossing Newport Boulevard outside of a crosswalk when he was hit.
