Liability In Car Accidents
Drivers have a legal responsibility to take measures to avoid hitting other cars. Intersections can be particularly tricky, especially at night. Drivers are supposed to stop at stop signs and yield the right of way to drivers without signals. According to California Vehicle Code 22450, “(a) The driver of any vehicle approaching a stop sign at the entrance to, or within, an intersection shall stop at a limit line, if marked, otherwise before entering the crosswalk on the near side of the intersection.” Any person that is injured in a car accident can hold the negligent driver accountable through a bodily injury claim.
