One Person Was Injured In Dublin Motorcycle Accident On The Interstate 580 Freeway By Livermore Avenue

DUBLIN, CALIFORNIA (July 15, 2019) – At least one person was injured in a motorcycle accident on the Interstate 50 freeway by Livermore Avenue.

California Highway Patrol are saying that the accident took place around 3:03 p.m. and involved a black Ford Mustang. The motorcycle rider sustained injuries to his ankle and foot as a result of the crash.

He was taken by paramedics to the hospital. The driver of the Mustang remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.

Liability In Motorcycle Accidents

According to the Insurance Information Institute, “Motorcycles are by their nature far less crashworthy than closed vehicles. They are also less visible to other drivers and pedestrians and less stable than four-wheel vehicles. Operating a motorcycle requires a different combination of physical and mental skills than those used in driving four-wheel vehicles. Motorcyclists and their passengers are more vulnerable to the hazards of weather and road conditions than drivers in closed vehicles.” Many drivers hit motorcyclists because they are going too fast or simply not paying attention. The victim of any motorcycle accident may have legal recourse through a bodily injury claim.
