According to authorities, the driver, identified as 33-year-old Ryad Boudghenestambouli, was sleeping in his rental car and was upset because he was woken up from his nap. There was a verbal altercation, which was followed by the driver intentionally running over four people, three men and a woman.
All pedestrian accident victims sustained minor injuries. According to authorities, two of the pedestrian accident victims were transported to a nearby hospital.
The suspect was taken into custody and charged with suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
Police do not believe alcohol or drugs played a factor in the pedestrian accident.
