According to the Press-Telegram, an elderly man was struck and killed by a car while crossing the street in North Long Beach on Monday, November 27, 2017.
The victim, who has not been identified, was over 70 years old.
The car vs. pedestrian accident occurred around 5:15 p.m. near the intersection of Long Beach Boulevard and Victoria Street.
The man suffered critical injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died.
The driver of the car remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The cause of the car accident remains under investigation.
