Bicyclist Critically Injured In Newport Beach Car Accident By The Intersection of Newport Boulevard and Cecil Place
COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA (May 23, 2019) – A 23-year-old woman riding a bicycle was critically injured in a car accident by the intersection of Newport Boulevard and Cecil Place.
California Highway Patrol are saying that the accident took place around 6:00 a.m. on the northbound side of Newport Boulevard. The bicyclist sustained life-threatening injuries after being struck by a truck.
The driver of the truck remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. There is an ongoing investigation into what may have caused the accident.
