Liability In Car Accidents Involving Farm Animals
Property owners have a responsibility to make sure that their animals are secured on their grounds. Horses should typically be kept in a fenced off perimeter which is then surrounded by another fence around the border of the property. This will give animal owners two layers of protection if the horse gets free. There are a few counties in rural parts of California that are open range counties. This means that animals are allowed to wander where they please. But in most areas farm animals like cows or horses should be confined. An experienced car accident attorney can evaluate the facts of your case and let you know what your rights are.
