Pedestrian Killed In Chico Car Accident On Lassen Avenue By Highway 99 Overpass
CHICO, CALIFORNIA (September 27, 2019) – A pedestrian was tragically killed in a car accident on Lassen Avenue by the Highway 99 Overpass.
California Highway Patrol are saying that the accident took place around 7:15 a.m. Police are saying that the victim was hit and seriously injured.
Paramedics rushed to the scene of the accident in order to help the victim. Despite life-saving efforts they later died due to their injuries.

According to California Vehicle Code 21950, “The driver of a vehicle approaching a pedestrian within any marked or unmarked crosswalk shall exercise all due care and shall reduce the speed of the vehicle or take any other action relating to the operation of the vehicle as necessary to safeguard the safety of the pedestrian.” The family of any victim that died in a pedestrian accident may have legal recourse through a wrongful death claim.
