Liability In Motorcycle Accidents
Every driver has a responsibility to look out for motorcyclists. Unfortunately, a number of collisions occur when motorcyclists make unsafe lane changes. According to California Vehicle Code 22107, “No person shall turn a vehicle from a direct course or move right or left upon a roadway until such movement can be made with reasonable safety and then only after the giving of an appropriate signal in the manner provided in this chapter in the event any other vehicle may be affected by the movement.”
Victims of motorcycle accidents may be able to hold negligent drivers accountable through a bodily injury claim. A motorcycle accident attorney can work on your behalf and let you know what your legal rights are. It doesn’t cost anything to hire an attorney and they only get paid if they are able to successfully resolve your case.
