Liability In Head-On Collisions
All drivers have a legal responsibility to operate their vehicles in a reasonably safe manner and take steps to avoid causing accidents. If a driver crosses over a double yellow line they will likely be found at fault in the event of a collision. According to California Vehicle Code 21460, “If double parallel solid yellow lines are in place, a person driving a vehicle shall not drive to the left of the lines, except as permitted in this section.” Any person that is injured in a car accident may have legal recourse through a bodily injury claim.
