Gabriel Lopez Boyle Heights: Gabriel Lopez Injured In Boyle Heights Hit-And-Run Car Accident While Riding Bicycle On Whittier Boulevard In Los Angeles
BOYLE HEIGHTS, CALIFORNIA (August 27, 2019) – A bicyclist identified as Gabriel Lopez was seriously injured in a car accident on Whittier Boulevard near Calzona Street.
Los Angeles police officials are saying that the accident took place around 10:20 p.m. A white pickup truck was driving on the wrong side of the road when the driver hit Gabriel Lopez head-on.
Gabriel Lopez was ejected from his bicycle and sustained major injuries. Paramedics transported the victim to the hospital where he was treated for a broken vertebrae.
Gabriel Lopez works in construction and may not be able to return for several weeks. Los Angeles is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading up to the arrest of the driver.
