According to the San Diego Tribune, a 60-year-old bicyclist suffered serious injuries after he was struck by a vehicle in Pacific Beach on Tuesday, October 17, 2017.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Archer Street and Everts Street at about 7:45 a.m.
The 20-year-old driver, who was in a white Acura, told officers that she had stopped at the intersection and struck the bicyclist as she continued driving.
According to authorities, the bicyclist suffered serious injuries, such as a lacerated spleen, broken ribs, and a brain bleed.
It is unknown who had the right of way.
The accident remains under investigation.
