Liability In Head-On Accidents
Head-on collisions are disproportionately likely to cause drivers serious injuries or death. Even at lower speeds, a head-on crash can be lethal. The force from an impact is equivalent to the combined velocity of both vehicles. Two vehicles colliding head-on that were both traveling at 50 mph would be equivalent to one vehicle hitting a brick wall a 100 mph.
The family of a victim that died in a head-on crash is able to seek justice through California’s code of civil procedure 377.60. A wrongful death attorney can examine the specific facts of your case and let you know what your rights are. It’s important that evidence is preserved after an accident. Failing to act within the statute of limitations can jeopardize a person’s ability to pursue a claim.
