9-year-old girl struck and killed in Stockton pedestrian accident

According to KCRA, a 9-year-old girl was killed after being struck by a car on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 in Stockton.

The pedestrian accident was reported around 3:40 p.m. at the intersection of Carolyn Weston Boulevard and Ishi Goto Street, when the girl was struck by a vehicle. According to the report, the girl was with a family member at the time of the pedestrian accident. The family member was not hurt.

As a result of the pedestrian accident, the girl, whose name has not been released, was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition. The girl died a day later as a result of her critical injuries.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene of the pedestrian accident.

The cause of the fatal pedestrian accident remains under investigation.
