According to the OC Register, a 71-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed while crossing the street in Garden Grove on Friday, December 8, 2017. The pedestrian accident was reported around 5:56 p.m. near Brookhurst Street and Bixby Avenue. The car vs. pedestrian accident occurred when the 71-year-old man was crossing the street in an unmarked area and was struck by a blue 2004 Infiniti G35 driven by a 22-year-old man. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
The driver of the Infiniti remained at the scene and cooperated with the police. Alcohol or drugs are not believed to be factors in the car vs. pedestrian accident.
