According to CBS, a 3-year-old boy was killed after being hit by an SUV at a Tustin apartment complex on Tuesday, October 10, 2017.
The accident was reported around 6:11 p.m. at the 15600 block of Pasadena Avenue.
According to authorities, the boy was standing in the driveway of the apartment complex with his family when he was struck by a Ford Explorer.
His family tried to help him before he was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died.
The driver of the Ford Explorer remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
Alcohol or drugs did not play a role in the crash, according to police. There have been no arrests or citations and the cause of the collision remains under investigation.
