According to the Press Telegram, a 20-year-old woman was killed and four others were injured in a fatal car accident in Long Beach on Friday, January 19, 2018.
The fatal car accident occurred around 10:33 p.m. near Spring Street, when a 2000 Mustang was speeding and collided with a 2015 Honda Civic.
Jaslyn Ouch, 20, of Long Beach, was killed in the fatal car accident and was a passenger in the Honda. Ouch was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Honda, identified as a man, was critically injured in the car accident and transported to a nearby hospital. The driver of the Honda and Ouch had to be rescued from the wreckage using the Jaws of Life.
According to authorities, three men were in the Mustang at the time of the car accident. The three men in the Mustang suffered non-life threatening injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital.
Authorities are investigating whether the driver, a 21-year-old man from Compton, was under the influence of alcohol or drugs during the car accident. Anyone with information regarding the fatal car accident is asked to contact Long Beach Police at (562) 570-7355.
