According to the Press-Enterprise, two people were killed in a fatal head-on car accident on Highway 395 in Adelanto on Tuesday, March 20, 2018.
The fatal head-on car accident occurred around 4:35 a.m., when the driver of a 2012 Hyundai Sonata was heading north on Highway 395 and crossed over into oncoming traffic to pass two other vehicles, and collided with a 2015 Chevrolet Captiva heading southbound.
Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene of the fatal car accident.
The driver of the Hyundai Sonata was identified as a 39-year-old woman from Edwards and the driver of the Chevrolet Captiva was identified as a 36-year-old woman from Helendale.
According to authorities, the driver of the Chevrolet was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the fatal car accident.
Drugs nor alcohol were suspected to be a factor in the car accident.
The fatal head-on car accident remains under investigation.
