According to KTLA, two people were killed and several others were injured in a serious car accident caused by a DUI suspect on the 605 Freeway in Norwalk on Monday, July 16, 2018.
The fatal car accident occurred around 1 a.m. on the northbound 605 Freeway near Rosecrans Avenue, when the DUI suspect in an Infiniti slammed into the back of a stalled minivan, causing both cars to catch fire.
Five people were inside of the minivan at the time of the car accident. Two victims, described as a 52-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman, were pronounced dead at the scene of the fatal car accident. The three others who were inside the minivan, including a child, sustained serious injuries.
Two people were inside the Infiniti, including the DUI suspect and a female passenger.
The DUI suspect, described as 31-year-old Alex Barragan from Norwalk, was arrested on suspicion of murder and driving under the influence.
