2 killed after car crashes into building in Gardena

According to KTLA, two men were killed in a fiery crash after the driver slammed into a building in Gardena on Wednesday, April 4, 2018.

The fatal car accident occurred around 9 p.m. in the 13000 block of Crenshaw Boulevard, when the driver of a Corvette lost control of his vehicle, veered off the roadway, and slammed into a building.

Due to the impact of the crash, the car immediately caught fire.

The driver and passenger of the Corvette, who have not been identified, were killed in the fatal car accident.

Police are investigating the cause of the fatal car accident and believe street racing may have been a factor.

According to authorities, a security camera shows two vehicles traveling at a high rate of speed and police are searching for another car that might have been involved in the fatal crash.

The fatal crash remains under investigation.
