According to the San Bernardino Sun, a man and woman were killed in a head-on car accident involving two vehicles in Landers on Friday, December 1, 2017.
The head-on car accident occurred around 5:30 p.m. when a SUV tried to pass a tractor-trailer on a desert highway and collided with another vehicle.
The victims killed in the car accident were described as a 22-year-old man from Johnson Valley and a 19-year-old woman from Landers. The victims’ names have not been disclosed.
The driver of the SUV sustained major injuries and was identified as a 24-year-old man from Big Bear. His 1-year-old daughter was in the vehicle at the time of the car accident and sustained minor injuries.
Both were taken to a local hospital.
No arrests have been made.
The car accident remains under investigation.
