2 killed, 1 injured in Pico Rivera car accident

According to ABC 7, two men were killed and another was injured in a violent car accident in Pico Rivera on Wednesday, May 2, 2018.

The car accident involving three vehicles, including a Chevrolet Avalanche, a second Chevrolet truck, and a Ford Fusion, occurred around 4:22 a.m. near the intersection of Slauson Avenue and Boer Avenue.

According to authorities, the Fusion veered into oncoming traffic for an unknown reason and collided with the two trucks.

Due to the impact, the Chevrolet Avalanche overturned and the two other vehicles sustained serious damages.

Once the fire department arrived, the two male occupants inside the Fusion were pronounced dead at the scene. Their names have not been identified due to pending family notification.

The third victim involved in the car accident sustained injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital in unknown condition.

The fatal car accident remains under investigation.
