According to the OC Register, a 12-year-old girl was struck by a pickup truck and sustained injuries, while she was walking to school in Orange on Tuesday, January 30, 2018.
The pedestrian accident occurred around 7:20 a.m., when the 12-year-old girl was hit by a Dodge truck at the intersection of Cambridge Street and Collins Avenue.
According to authorities, the driver of the truck initially fled the scene, but later turned herself in and was arrested.
The driver was described as a 39-year-old woman. Her name has not been released.
