According to the San Bernardino Sun, a man died after his disabled vehicle was struck by another vehicle on the 215 Freeway in San Bernardino on Wednesday, September 24, 2017.
The fatal car accident occurred around 8:35 p.m. in the northbound lanes near Inland Center Drive, when a 2014 Mitsubishi Mirage was stopped in the second lane of the freeway and was struck by a 2005 Honda Accord.
The driver of the Mitsubishi, who has not been identified, was transported to the hospital, where he later died. The passenger of the Mitsubishi, America Griego, sustained critical injuries and was also transported to the hospital.
The driver of the Honda, Alfredo Valencia, 34, was not injured in the car accident.
Authorities have not made it clear as to why the victim’s vehicle was stopped on the freeway.
