According to the East Bay Times, a woman was killed and five other people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash that occurred on Highway 4 in Pittsburg on Wednesday, October 4, 2017.
The collision occurred around 8 a.m. near Harbor Street and involved seven vehicles.
The 22-year-old woman, whose name has not been released, died at the scene.
There were five others that were injured in the crash, including a child. According to officials, three people sustained moderate-to-severe injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital. The two others sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene.
The crash shut down multiple lanes of westbound state Highway 4.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
