According to Mercury News, one person was killed and four others were injured in a crash on Highway 17 in Los Gatos on Monday, October 9, 2017.

According to authorities, the crash happened around 6:07 p.m.

One of the drivers, identified as Armond Cobb, 44, was driving a 2016 Ford F-550 traveling north when he hit the center median.

Cobb lost control of his vehicle and struck a 2008 Toyota Tacoma that was traveling south.

After, Cobb’s vehicle then collided head-on with a 2017 Toyota Camry. Cobb’s truck continued into oncoming traffic and slammed into a 2014 Kia sedan, which caused the driver to be ejected.

The driver of the Kia sedan died at the scene.

The driver of the Kia has not been identified; however, officials said she was a 19-year-old of San Jose.

The drivers of the other vehicles involved, including Cobb, were all transported to the hospital and later released.

The crash remains under investigation.
