1 killed, 2 injured in Tustin wrong-way DUI car accident

According to the OC Register, a man was killed and two others were injured in a wrong-way car accident caused by a DUI driver in Tustin on Friday, January 5, 2017. The fatal wrong-way car accident involving a DUI driver occurred around 2 a.m. on the northbound 55 Freeway.

According to authorities, a DUI driver was heading at least 100 mph on the wrong side of the freeway and struck another car head-on, killing a 33-year old driver. The passenger in the victim’s vehicle and the DUI driver were transported to a nearby hospital with critical injuries. The fatal wrong-way car accident involving a DUI driver remains under investigation.
