According to ABC 7, one person was killed and two others were injured in a serious car accident on the 405 Freeway in Bel Air on Sunday, February 11, 2018.
The fatal car accident occurred around 12:30 a.m. on the northbound 405 Freeway near Moraga Drive.
According to authorities, a Mini Cooper was stopped on the freeway for an unknown reason, when a Nissan Sentra traveling about 65 mph struck the back of the vehicle. According to the report, the Mini Cooper’s lights were out at the time of the fatal car accident.
The 26-year-old driver of the Mini Cooper sustained injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital and the passenger, identified as a 29-year-old Laguna Beach resident, was transported to the hospital where she later died.
The 47-year-old driver of the Nissan Sentra also sustained injuries and was transported to a hospital.
