1 injured on 210 Freeway in Pasadena car accident

According to the San Gabriel Valley Tribune, one person was seriously injured after a car accident, which shut down the Metro Gold Line on the 210 Freeway in Pasadena on Wednesday, January 17, 2018.

The car accident occurred on the westbound 210 Freeway near Lake Avenue around 11:24 a.m.

One person was seriously injured after his car collided with a pickup truck, flipped over, and landed on the tracks of the Metro Gold Line. The driver had to be freed by firefighters. The driver sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital.

The driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene. It is unknown if the driver of the truck was injured.

The car accident resulted in the Gold Line to be shut down for some time.
