According to the Press Enterprise, a motorcyclist was struck and killed in a hit and run accident in Banning on Wednesday, December 13, 2017. The car vs. motorcycle accident occurred around 6 p.m. at the intersection of San Gorgonio Avenue and Wesley Street. The victim, identified as 65-year-old Vincent Hernandez, died at the scene.
Gabriel Simeon Beltran, 25, of Beaumont is accused of killing the motorcyclist. According to authorities, Beltran initially fled the scene of the hit and run accident, but was found two hours later at a house nearby. Beltran is being held at the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter felony and hit and run with a $50,000 bail.
